My story
Caroline outside, looking relaxed.

I’d suspected I had ADHD for a while before I did anything about it.

I was in constant overdrive - juggling work, parenting, and studying, taking on more and more, exhausted but unable to switch off.

It was after what seemed like a fairly minor bout of Covid, that fatigue finally took hold and I had no choice but to stop everything - work, exercise, social life. My body had finally had enough.

I explored countless interventions recommended by professionals. While things began to improve, nothing quite explained what I was experiencing - until I began researching ADHD.

Looking back, everything started to make sense. The masking. The misdiagnoses. The cycles of burnout. Why the life I’d somehow previously managed had become impossible in perimenopause.

That realisation became a turning point.

Using my background in Functional Medicine, I began to rebuild - looking closely at what I was eating, my struggles with energy, sleep and exercise, all the situations and people that drained me. I made some really helpful changes.

But the biggest shift came when I began working with my nervous system, and the beliefs that had been driving me for so long.

Learning to listen to myself with honesty and compassion changed everything. For the first time, I could clearly hear what I needed - and when I began meeting those needs, the constant anxiety and restlessness began to fade. My energy returned. I was able to move my body again. And finally, I could organise my thoughts and enjoy the life I now believe I was meant for.

And this is how I work with my clients because I’ve seen how real transformation only happens when we take an honest look at what’s under the surface.

From there, lasting change follows naturally.

My approach

Alongside traditional ADHD coaching which helps to develop more effective strategies, I bring a Functional Medicine perspective to support your overall wellbeing — including sleep, nutrition, movement, relaxation, environment and relationships.

What makes my approach different is that we start at the foundation.

We focus on regulating the nervous system first — creating the conditions for change.

From there, we explore the core beliefs shaping your behaviours (often subconsciously), so change feels natural rather than something you have to force.

We also look at the physical foundations that support brain function, ensuring your body is working with you, not against you.

This creates the conditions for real, sustainable change — where strategies actually stick, because they’re tailored to you.

‘During a challenging transition in my life, Caroline provided a safe and positive space where I could work toward my goals. Up until that point I’d felt overwhelmed with the task, but Caroline helped me to break my goals down into smaller, more manageable chunks, and enabled me to recognise my progress along the way. Most importantly she helped me to think differently, being much kinder to myself during the process. I’ve loved working with her and can’t thank her enough.’

‘After having been undiagnosed with ADHD for nearly 60 years, you can just imagine how ready I was for the warm welcoming hand I received.

‘Caroline opened each session with a 'body scan', which took away any built up stress or tension, allowing me to be in a better mental and physical state, which was just perfect for me, turning even grey cloud moments to blue sky days.

‘Caroline has been exceptionally supportive and kind throughout my coaching journey, and whilst maintaining an exceedingly high level of professionalism, she quickly became a guiding friend, allowing me to be open up, be expressive, and most importantly, be myself. I have gained so much more, than I had ever hoped for or expected. I'm refreshed and already enjoying my exciting future.’

    Tricia

‘I have always thought a lot about my goals and plans. Caroline brought my thoughts to actions which literally changed the dynamic in my new life in this new city. I had been thinking without acting for one whole year. Caroline managed to help me flip to a new and bright page of my book. I enjoyed being heard and I believe everyone deserves to be heard.

    ‘Thank you Caroline!’

    Joan

‘I came to see Caroline because I was feeling anxious and not able to enjoy being in the moment. Like many working mums I was trying to fit in work, which included building out a new business, as well as supporting my family and keeping the house running smoothly. Caroline’s calm, engaging approach helped me focus on why I was inclined to live my life always looking forward and not enjoy being in the present. She had me focused on why this was always my default and supported me in creating a plan to make changes. Her technique, whilst gentle was always on point and as such, she expertly guided me towards understanding what drove me and how I could make small, but effective changes that achieved my goal. Those techniques have stood the test of time, and as such I will always be grateful to Caroline for the tools and support that she gave me that have made such a difference.’

    Emma

‘My EFT sessions with Caroline were powerful experiences for me which resulted in a much deeper understanding of my feelings about my wider family dynamics and also some pathways which Caroline helped me develop about different approaches I could take in the future.

‘Caroline's listening skills are phenomenal and she has an amazing ability to summarise what she has heard. Listening to her helped me develop my thinking and understanding in a way I hadn't expected.

‘The physical element of EFT weaves into Caroline's speech in a way which I can't pretend to understand but definitely works!’

    Mary

‘I did EFT tapping with Caroline to help with the anxiety I was suffering due to multiple things life was throwing at me all at once, including a difficult family relationship, menopause and significant work stress. Caroline is an extremely good coach. She instantly put me completely at ease. I found the tapping really helpful and grounding. I have used it since as a technique by myself. I thoroughly recommend both Caroline and the EFT tapping. ‘

    Fern

‘The EFT sessions I had with Caroline helped me overcome my fear … to a level that meant I could deal with my anxiety and have some much needed treatments, I will use the techniques again and again.’

    Workshops

‘We brought Caroline in to run an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) workshop for Pride in Wellness at Canary Wharf, and it was an instant hit with our 20 participants.

‘Warm, engaging, and deeply supportive, Caroline creates a space where everyone feels safe to explore personal challenges. She asked curious yet impactful questions that encouraged us to reflect on the changes we wanted to make and how to get the most out of the session.

‘I love how Caroline made EFT accessible, engaging, and highly practical - even those completely new to it could follow along with ease. Caroline helps people approach change with self-acceptance and self-compassion, rather than expectation and pressure.

‘The session left everyone feeling calmer, more connected, and confident in using EFT to support their own wellbeing. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caroline to any organisation looking to give their teams or communities a practical, inclusive, and truly transformative wellbeing experience.’

  • Supporting this work (and because my ADHD-brain has an insatiable thirst for new knowledge), I’ve undertaken extensive training in evidence-based approaches.

My core training includes the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy - the only health coaching programme endorsed by the Institute for Functional Medicine - and In Good Company, which provides advanced training in Neurodivergent Inclusive Coaching, covering ADHD and commonly co-occurring conditions.

In addition to this, I’ve completed hundreds of hours of mind-body training, enhancing my personal and professional experience in areas such as nervous system regulation, somatic movement, yoga, neuroscience, EFT tapping, breathwork and meditation.

I’m accredited through the UK & International Health Coaching Association, EFT International and Yoga Alliance, and I’m an approved member of Proud Wellness.

Alongside my private practice, I also support newly diagnosed ADHDers through Care ADHD via Optimal Health Strategies.

  • Functional Medicine looks beyond symptoms to understand what’s driving them.

It takes a whole-person approach, considering how factors like nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, environment and genetics interact to influence your health and energy.

While we can’t change our genes, we can have a meaningful impact on how they’re expressed through the choices we make every day.

    How I work

Using a Functional Medicine approach, we focus on the key foundations of your wellbeing:

    • nutrition

    • movement

    • sleep

    • stress

    • environment and relationships

Together, we explore what’s happening in your body, identify what may be contributing to imbalance, and build practical, sustainable ways to support your health.

    Why it matters for ADHD

For ADHD in particular, lifestyle factors can significantly influence how challenges show up and how manageable they feel.

Supporting areas such as nutrition, sleep and movement can have a positive impact on emotional regulation, cognitive function and overall wellbeing.

  • EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique (often known as “tapping”), is a gentle, non-invasive tool that helps you work through intense emotions, ingrained beliefs and unhelpful patterns.

It involves tapping with your fingers on specific acupuncture points on the face and body, while focusing on a particular thought, feeling or issue.

Over time, this helps reduce emotional intensity, bringing greater clarity and a sense of calm, so you can respond more thoughtfully rather than reacting automatically.

    How it helps

EFT can be particularly effective for:

    • releasing long-held beliefs and patterns

    • breaking repetitive thought or behaviour loops

    • reducing emotional overwhelm

    • processing difficult or intense experiences

I often think of it as gradually peeling back layers — moving beyond surface reactions to understand and shift what’s happening at the root.

    Why it matters for ADHD

For ADHD in particular, EFT can be a powerful tool.

It supports you in regulating intense emotions, managing impulsive reactions, and gently questioning the negative beliefs that can build up from years of trying to meet neurotypical expectations.

A tool you can use for life

Once learned, EFT is something you can use independently - supporting yourself through the inevitable challenges that come up in life.
